So I had to pull my plastics off my 02 600 to take off the carbs and install a jet kit. I figured I'd repair some damage done by the previous owner due to a lay down. There was some gouges and minor scrapes mainly on the right side of the bike. I removed the factory decals on both sides and repaired the damage.
My Kat is yellow. The plan is to primer over the repairs then lay out some stripes or a design and paint that a matte black. I was just going to rattle can the black to keep cost down.
I was wondering if anybody out there had done something like this before? If so how did it turn out?
Also should I spray some clear over the black or just leave it? I'm not worried about gas getting on it since it's on the side plastics.
