anyone do a mirror swap on 98+??????

i hate the mirrors on my 05 i wanted to see if anyone has ever did a swap or fabricated some lower profile and more sleek looking mirrors????

I have wanted to do the same thing.. I have found a few companies online that make chrome or anodized "caps" to put over where your mirrors were and then move your mirrors else where.. And I've found 1 company that makes chromed adaptor plates to fit their mirrors to the katana mirror mounts but the mirrors they have are just soo ugly.. So I bought a set of the adaptors and then bought a set of mirrors i liked that were aftermarket gsxr mirrors and they are at the local machine shop being fab'd up..

mine is all jacked up from the previous dumbass who drove around with a keychain full of keys

yeah just Vinyl sticker
same with the brake arm, swing arm, foot pegs etc etc

hardlydangerous did those mount right up to the existing holes, or were there other steps involved

I have been meaning to put these up for a few days now... bought them from ebay.

they are single post and I only used the top mounting hole.
no modifications needed.

they look pretty good. 2 questions, can you see out of them? and do you ever get hassled for the bent Plate?

did you mean to mount those upside down? do you have better visibility that way?

yes I did, does give me a little better visibility and I can adjustthem better in that position. besides, I like how they look that way better
