Difficulty of chain/sprocket change?

I need to put on a new chain, and am going to get the sprockets changed while I am at it.

How difficult is it to change them on a 97 Kat 600? I'm new to bike mechanics, but have done some things are cars/trucks, so I know what an oil filter is

the rear sprocket is just a handful of nuts - chain
will need to be cut off & the new chains master link will need pressed on unless you use a clip type master link.
