  • Clutch adjustment

Hi guys, Had my first (and only, I hope) mechanical failure on my GSX750F today.
Whilst riding two up gear shifting became progressively worse, very hard to shift up or down. When I was able to stop in a safe place, I found the clutch lever had full travel, but little effect on the clutch plate.

Lossened cable at lever to get some feel of the clutch.
When I got home I removed the fairing and little black rubber cover over the clutch adjuster. To my suprise, I found the locknut inside the cap and the adjustment screw loose.
I have adjusted it to what I think is right, but still get slipping at higher RPM
I would appreciate it if somebody could inform me of the correct setting for this screw assembly.ie how many turns etc.

    Thanx for any assistance

    Dave

Thanks Tim, the info confirms what I had almost done, only 1/8 of a turn instead of 1/4
