  • 'Busa shock with aftermarket dog bones...?

Have fitted the 'Busa shock, not too tricky, but the shock body/spring is catching the inside of the dog bone - has any one tried this shock with aftermarket dog bones, or does anyone know if they provide less or more clearance on the stock shock?
By aftermarket I mean lowering dog bones BTW.
Has anyone ground/filed etc the inner surface of the stock part?

Thanx guys I need guru guidance

That is simple Dog, look at my "katbusa" thread, I made my own links. There are a few other members that can make the links and spacers that you need, like Kray, tmod etc etc. You still have to have a spacer about 1/2 inch to clear shock. You should add about 5/8 inch or more to links to get back of bike back to stock height. that is center of hole to center of hole. I used 3/4 x 1 inch steel but 1/2 x 1 inch will work fine. I painted mine or you can have them powder coated. with this setup you can still use the stock bolts top and bottom of the links.
Nothing going on with the GS1100 right now. I have been down since the accident in Our SUV last september. I am at a point with it that everything that needs done is going to cost lots of money right now. To start tires, so I can get the ride height I want. You can see about the accident at "Thazkat" thread.
