  • Tire size- do I need to change front if I change rear

I need to replace both front and rear tires. If I change my rear tire to 160/60/17 do I change front to 120/60/17 as well? Running stock 150/70/17 and 120/70/17 now on 06 750; local shops do not carry this size for rear tire but I can get 120/70/17 for the front. Just wondering if it will be best to make both 60's?

Stick with the 120/70 on the front no matter what you put on the back.

There are a multitude of reasons not to put a 60 series tire on the front of your bike.

A 160/70 on the rear would give a lot better ride and slightly increase the quickness of the handling of the bike.

Thanks for the info. I got Pirelli Diablo's 120/70/17 for front and 160/60/17 on rear mounted out the door for $350.

I tryed the 120/60 on front and did not like it, stick with the 120/70 front 160/60 rear.
