I only get about 4k out of a rear on either of my bikes. Actually 4k is good for the ZX-14, i have gotten as little as 2700 miles on the rear.

Man, that is INSANE. You must spend a fortune on rubber!

Yes, especially when you ride as much as I do.

Instead I spend an hour on the highway each way. During the nightly monsoonal weather during Feb I went on the highway for about 3 weeks straight. Noticed the sudden wearing of my tyres straight away. The seemed to be much happier when they were going around the twisties.
I like reading your posts with my horrible Auzzie accent, makes them tons of fun. Your Z6's work well in the rain or on wet roads. Why take the highway and add time when you can take your route a bit slower?

A rear tire per oil change, eh Zepp?
My current rides: (see my garage for a complete history of my bikes)

G'day cobber. Glad to hear you're practicing your Aussie. Help you fit in if you come over for a visit!

My twisties are littered with leaves on a good day. On a rainy day (or after a stormy night) it's covered with leaves and sticks and sometimes branches. The road just isn't wet, it's slimy.

The Z6's are good. Very good. But not that good.

Thank God someone agrees with me on that.

I wish we had more twisties around here... I ride 25 mile commutes on my Z6's, all on straight Oklahoma highway. I hate it. If I want to ride curves I have to go looking for them.

I got about 6000 miles off my last Z6's, but that's because 60% of my riding is in the twisties, and because I'm such a fat *** (equivalent to most people riding two-up)
                              Cheers!
