Icon Skull Leather Jacket ?

I got the Icon Skull Jacket(midnight) for xmas and I love it.

It is very comfortable,awesome in cold weather with just a t-shirt and sweatshirt under It I was cruising around when it was 30 degrees doing 60mph. I wear it out now in the 75-80 degree heat as long as you are moving the vents work somewhat good.

Everybody compliments me and says it is a bada$$ jacket.

Anyway

my buddy just told me that it isn't that good for protection if I go down and that it will come apart at the seems.

Anybody else heard this?

can't speak for the Skull jacket, but I do have the TiMax2 leather jacket, and it seems pretty sturdy.. I've had one small lowside a few months back but no real chance to test its limits as far as abrasion goes, however the padding helped and it didn't come apart..

I've heard from many vendors that they have been very impressed by the durability of the Icon Jackets...many have seen people that have gone down and the jacket protected them without coming apart. Like someone said for $600 they better protect you...

I have the Icon Motorhead in yellow. I like it.
It seems as heavy as the other jackets at the store.
I have some patches that I am going to have sewn on to give it a more custom look.
