  • Help with a part #

    I need a few gaskets and most of them offer various #s for the same part. Here is an example:
    3 Gasket Clutch Cover Model K/L (superceed: 11482-27A10) 1 $6.75
    3 Gasket Clutch Cover Model M/N2 (superceed: 11482-27A20) 1 $6.75
    3 Gasket Clutch Cover Model P/R/S/T

    What model do I have, or how can you tell? 1990 750 not a Cali model I have seen these choices with most of the gaskets that I will need. Anyone know? I really appreciate the help.

    You want whichever one you can actually order.

    If you cross check the part number, on Ronayers, left side of the screen... it'll show you what else uses that part. For example, the clutch cover gasket also fits like every other model of katana. http://www.ronayers.com/search/whereused.cfm

      As far as I see online, I can order any of the 3. I just wanted to see if the actual model was in question. What is the difference between model k/l and Model M/N2? How can I tell what model I have? Thanks for the help

        Suzuki's lettering scheme:
        Full bike nomenclature = GSX600F(R) would be a 94 Kat 600
        Full bike nomenclature = GSX600R(K2) would be a 2002 GSXR 600

        88 = J
        89 = K
        90 = L
        91 = M
        92 = N
        93 = P
        94 = R
        95 = S
        96 = T
        97 = V
        98 = W
        99 = X
        2000 = Y
        2001 = K1
        2002 = K2
        2003 = K3
        2004 = K4
        2005 = K5
        2006 = K6
        2007 = K7

        Generally speaking:
        Kat of any given engine size share everything between 90-95, 96-97, 98-02 and 03-06, with most 88-97 and most 98-06 parts being shared in their year-groupings.
