  • 46 Years Old with first sportsbike (93 750 Kat)

My name is JeffreyT. I just bought a 93 750 Kat with 1240 miles on it yesterday. I used to ride motocross years and years ago. I have been practicing across the the street at the local high school getting used to how low and heavy the bike is. I am making great progress.

Bike's plastic, tank was destroyed in 93 due to a farm accident. It sat in a garage for 16 years. Replaced the tank and seat from a donor bike. It has the original tires and so forth. Looking forward to making the fairing look good. I am having trouble with the fasteners to hold on the plastics since the fairings I bought have none. I have no point of reference. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a website called http://goodbeershow.com and really enjoy craft beer.

First, welcome to KatRiders!! I would ditch those tires ASAP, and get some new ones. 16 year old tires are not something you are going to want to be riding on.

Second, I am a big fan of a good beer
It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.

      Welcome!

Nice bike, a low mileage 93. Isnt that the first year for the liquid cooled engine?

Welcome to KR. If your bike is anything like my 89, it has clips that are set in place in slots on the actual fairings and then hex bolts. I'm sure if you went to a dealership they'd be able to get you all you need.
sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.
