  • New Rider, older bike

Hi guys! I recently picked up a 2006 Katana 600 from a guy who stopped riding it about two years ago. It was in pretty bad shape when I picked it up (plastics are broken/scratched, petcock needs rebuild, clogged carbs, no tires, and a bad battery.) Found this site when I first brought it home and reading up on what you guys have already said I've almost got it ready for the road again. Thanks for the help I have received already and I look forward to being a member of this community.

Welcome. Seems to me that I always have a much more personal connection to a bike I've worked on than one which was good to go when I bought it. Enjoy making that connection while you're getting it ready to go.

Thanks for the welcome! Unfortunately I don't have a working camera at the moment, but so far I've only done stuff like a new battery, tires, and some carb stuff so not really much to be missed.
