Awesome!!
See if the mods can change your name to
TX_VFR800..
Glad you worked it out..
Interesting dealership story too!
You are still welcome to ride/ meet with us!
As long as your new snotty VFR friends are OK with it!
I like the sticker. That ought to boost the HP..
Looks like you made out well on this deal!
(True that about Kat prices.. craigs list is full of over priced ones!)

As for the stickers...the Kids refused to let me remove it and now the wife has nicknamed the bike "Jims Woody" so I guess they are there to stay..

'05 Kat, and he got $5k for it from the guy who backed over it.
Walk into a dealership and buy an used '03 Honda VFR800 for about $6k (note: no mention of what mileage the VFR had on it, but I think I see 4658 miles in the pic of the odo).
A lot of VFR owners are walking away from the later models because of the cost of the valve maintenance adjustment service on the VTec set-up; the pre-VTec seem to be the "more desirable" version for the VFR-fanatics... And that is driving used prices down some on the VTec versions. NADA lists used values for an '03 as $5050 low-retail, $6645 average-retail (for good/near-mint condition). $6k is reasonable given all that.
