On the Kat? About 780 miles in one shot.

I've done more in a day, but there were breaks for dinner, friends, etc.

The longest single ride I've done was slightly over 2200 miles without taking more of a break than food & gas & bathroom... but that was a '81 Honda 450 twin with a huge bench seat and square tires.

              Cheers,

In one sitting with breaks it was around 350 miles, the first day.

It was when I was doing my week-long vacation to southern Oregon coast. The entire trip was around 1,500 miles.

A couple weeks ago I bought a custom seat from Rick Mayer for my day/weekend trips in comfort. He's only about 3 hours north from me.

351 miles with a few rest stops

with full backpack... not too sore

i would not suggest using a loaded backpack for any trip over 150 miles for comfort reasons

strap the stuff to the bike...and take a credit card with you

So the consensus is basically that most people can handle 350 or so miles in a day without much of an issue on a stock bike?

I'm interested in making a 600 mile trip (in one day) and I've never been more then an hour and a half on the katana at one time... (or any bike for that matter)... how bad a trip is this going to be realistically (on a stock 05 600)???
