Well, then I will confirm the pre 750s are mostly 15/47 with 118 link chains. Mine is (purchased off showroom, and I have never changed it before now... 93 750 cal. model) Someone has mentioned a couple of times there are a few pre 750 models that came with 15/45 setups... but I have not seen anything specific to year.

That depends on who you talk to , bud . There was a thread a while ago arguing that same thing . The conclusion was that some DID , in fact , come with a 45r .

I used a Bandit 600, but that should not be of any importance (I guess )

You won't hear me give you any grief about it. I race my Kat pretty regularly...and that's generally not approved of, either.

you'll need a 130 link and make it 124. No one sells a 124 link chain.

The biggest I could find on ebay when I did my sprocket conversion was a 122.

FYI when you are done here you are looking at a top speed (indicated) of 92 mph (thats down almost 45mph). That's redline in 6th gear. You're cruising rpms will probably be near 7700 rpm (thats assuming you did cruise at 6000, which is where mine sits I believe, or an increase of 1700 rpms at cruise).

I'm really concerned from your voice in this thread thus far that you are going too far and will end up with a nearly unusable power band. a 28% increase if your gear ratio is MASSIVE. Not saying you don't know what you're doing, but I'm not clear you do either...
