actually, I DON'T know that. I DO know the pre 600 is 14/45 or 46 112 link chain. I THOUGHT the pre 750 was 14/47 with a 116 link chain. It could be 15/47 118 link which would make it identicle to a 98+ 600
Well, then I will confirm the pre 750s are mostly 15/47 with 118 link chains. Mine is (purchased off showroom, and I have never changed it before now... 93 750 cal. model) Someone has mentioned a couple of times there are a few pre 750 models that came with 15/45 setups... but I have not seen anything specific to year.
That depends on who you talk to , bud . There was a thread a while ago arguing that same thing . The conclusion was that some DID , in fact , come with a 45r .
Cross referenced a couple of different sites to verify this best possible, but ... I learned a long time ago, some times the factory will do some odd things.

There are companies that'll make as big a sprocket as you want . Often it'll cost you more , though .....
But yeah , have fun stunting that thing , but don't expect a TON of support HERE with that . That's looked on as abuse to these poor old bikes , and well , abuse is BAD .
yes I am serious ha
ya I didn't think I would get any response actually lol
thanks for the replys

I used a Bandit 600, but that should not be of any importance (I guess )
The biggest I could find on ebay when I did my sprocket conversion was a 122.

but personaly I dont see a point in a 1000 you can get the same power from a properly tuned 600 with less weight and better handeling.
I was wanting to know how that affected the highway performance?? I would like to get a little more on the low end. I have a stock 96 750 Kat. It really does not come to life till around 5500r's
o really^ ha..
Well I just bought a 130 chain.. should fit once I learn how to cut/rivet.. probably be good to know how to do anyways.
FYI when you are done here you are looking at a top speed (indicated) of 92 mph (thats down almost 45mph). That's redline in 6th gear. You're cruising rpms will probably be near 7700 rpm (thats assuming you did cruise at 6000, which is where mine sits I believe, or an increase of 1700 rpms at cruise).
I'm really concerned from your voice in this thread thus far that you are going too far and will end up with a nearly unusable power band. a 28% increase if your gear ratio is MASSIVE. Not saying you don't know what you're doing, but I'm not clear you do either...
Let us know how it works out and good luck. Be really really gentle with that right wrist when you first get out on it.
