Hey everybody, figured i would start a thread on my Katana build so here we go...

She started out like everybody's Katana and eventually i pulled the stock stickers off to add my own personal touch...

Then later down the road i installed a stage3 jet kit, pod filter and cut the cans which gave it a real deep exhaust note. Also added a GSXR rear wheel to the mix and i was happy...

Then one Saturday night that all changed when i was t-boned by a driver who wasn't paying attention. Leaving me with a shattered femur, foot and busted up bike. Once i was able to get up and moving on my own i started coming up with ideas for the Kat...

First thing i did was remove the remaining plastics and imagined how it would look with a GSXR subframe...

So i cut away the original rear section of the frame...

Then bought a 2002 GSXR subframe and tail faring from ebay to mock up...

Fabricated some mounting tabs, welded them into place and mounted the subframe...

I wondered what dual headlights would look like so i bought a pair and fabricated mounts for them...

Also found a smoked lens taillight with integrated turn signals...

I rode her around like this for years and then i started having more ideas pop in my head...

First idea was number plate/headlight so i looked on ebay and found a number plate for decent price then located a projector headlight...

Fabricated some mounts and installed it all...

Second idea was to get some more plastics and do a little trim here and there...

I even had some stickers made up...

Decided to go with flat black cause im a sucker for that color and here she is in her current form...

The stock speedo and tach is just too much now so i found this smaller speedo/tach cluster on ebay for $60.00. Plus the tank and front fender needs sanding and paint. The work is never done but it's all worth it...

I can't say I'm a fan of the whole streetfighter look, but I sure appreciate the work you put into your bike. Very cool man.

I love that small speedo setup. Much smaller than the Post cluster

Nice work. Like arsenic, I'm not huge on streetfigters, but I like what you did with the plastics. Thanks for the bike porn

Undoubtably one of the coolest things I have ever seen on all levels. Respect.
