  • Pics of winter makeover

I Spent about two months on the ol' girl this winter, thought I would finally try to put up some pics.

I'll try to list what I did if I can remember it all. Bike is a 2000 600 I bought last September. It's my second Katana but It's been 5 years since I traded my first one. Felt really good to get back on a Kat.

    Painted wheels black
    Painted mid-pipe
    Chopped rear fender
Added 03+ tail section and taillight
    Painted all plastics and tank
Made aluminum undertail and signal light brackets
    New LED signals in rear
    Mesh Mod
    Tinted front signals
    Painted windscreen
Added a few decals and tank pad
I rather enjoyed the experience and would like to find another bike to makeover for this coming winter. Wife may like otherwise.

To be honest is was alot of work. Mainly because I am not a painter so trial and error made for a lot of work and frustration at times. But I still really enjoyed doing it. Best to do it in the off season so you have lots of time. Go for it and put some pics up when you get it done. Have fun.

Don't use a cargo net like I did in one of the pics. I gave it an extra coat of wax that morning but it still left rub marks in the tail.
