Interchangeable parts?

I am on ebay alot looking at kat parts and got to wondering wich parts will interchange between the pre and post 98 kats. from what I can tell not many. anyone know what stuff will work on either?

Go to ronayers.com

Find the part number on your bike that you want to cross reference in the OE MicroFiche

Copy the part number into the "Where does this part fit? " bar on the right of the homepage

It will come up with all the bikes that the part # you put in will fit. Find that part on ebay.

yeah I know about that tool they have, I was just thinking some of the gurus around here would know wich parts are common to both styles and could save alil time.

A lot of parts aren't perfect fits, but can be made to fit with a bit of modification -- such as exhaust headers, etc.

Direct fit is mostly engine components.
