What do I need for my '06 Katana 600? I'm going to an Ed Bargy racing school in November and the rules ban all sidestands or centerstands. I have a buddy who wants to sell me a stand that works for the swingarm, and tips up to lift the bike. I'm starting out in this and can see myself selling the Katana and getting something like a SV1000 in a year or so. I am not looking for the cheapest way out, but don't want to blow money either.
Can I safely support the bike on one stand? Would a wheel chock mounted to plywood work?
Do I need a pair, front and rear?
Do I need to get "spools" for my Katana?
Thanks for all your insights.
