  • Hello From TN

Hey Guys, I'm a new owner of a '04 750 Katana. It needs a little body work but still rides just fine. Its been about 15 years since I rode a bike (30 now) my first bike was a complete junker a 1975 Kawasaki KH 100 I think my GrandPa paid $20 for it.. we had to wield a home made gear shifter to it!!! well my Next Bike was a Honda XR 80 i got it when I was just 12. When I turned 15 I got my last bike till my Katana it was a Kawasaki KZ 400.. so now 15 years later I got my 4th bike. It is a funny story how I came across this bike. See I work with this lady who's husband passed away at a young age. She has been trying to sell these bikes he had. Well as it started to get warmer she said I don't want to cut my grass all summer.. I said I'll cut your grass all summer for your 750! she said DEAL. I got the bike about 3 weeks ago and let me tell you I still get scared atleast once a day by her (Bike not the Lady). I know I should have gone smaller for my first real bike but, would you pass up this deal?

Welcome to KR! You will get used to the bike, it just takes a bit of mileage. The 750 is fine for your first bike in a while (I went about 13 years with out riding..then got a 600, wish I had gotten the 750).
It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.

Welcome to the KR family. Tell the lady I'll cut her grass and do windows for her if she has an 1100 in the garage. If she's cute I'll even wash her dog a few times.
sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.

What other bikes does she have? Maybe this winter you can shovel her snow and you can get your 5th bike. Welcome to the site.

Welcome to KR. I have to agree with Sasquatch. My first bike was a 97 Kat 600. Great for my first riding season. (I was living in MI.) But come spring time, I was kickin' myself for not going for the 750.

I used to be indecisive...now, I'm not so sure.

is there that much difference between the two? I mean is 150 cc that much?

I suggest going to this post I started with the question of what is the difference and should I get rid of the 600 for a 750:
