  • idle mixture screw location

where is my idle mixture screw located and how many turns out does it need to be adjusted to for stock settings. are there any other jet adjustments that may need to be made while i have the carbs apart? the reason i am doing this is because of poor throttle response and my idle wont go above 1100 even with it adjusted all the way up. thanks!! 99 katana 600

you must check out trinq's site on adjusting carbs, great pictures to help you along the tuning process!

I put mine 3 turns out, and it runs great! Honestly, I bought an idle mixture tool, but it was just too hard to adjust them while the carbs were on, so pulling them off was more easier for me.
