I looked down when stuck in Traffic this morning and I had finally hit 50,000 kms (that's about 31K miles).

I just hit 17500 today, and in between stops i started getting a noise, like a lof of rattling between 5500 and 6500 and almost like an exhaust leak popping sound when the engine is under a lot of load under 4000 rpm, did i throw my valves out of wack? Exhaust leak? What do you guys think i'm looking at here.

AlaskaAFKat... where in Anchorage are you? I am in Eagle River.. if you need any help with your bike, just let me know. I am a pretty decent gearhead, and have tools.

Would also like to link up with you for riding sometime. There is one more KatRider in Anchorage that I know of.

They told me 4-6 weeks, and I have an appointment for the 19th. Hopefully I will be out of the cast then.

I should hit 15 000 miles by the time the rally rolls around. I'm at 13 500 now. It'l be two years old in two weeks.

(now that I put numbers to it I though I rode more than that )

After looking at the chart Cyber posted, I guess I'm the "average rider"

I am pushing 16,000. I got my 2002 from slapshot with 12,400 last month.

                          Service time!
