  • Exhaust Question

Hey guys I'm new here and have been reading on some threads that I searched and have a few questions of my own.
I saw where someone said its not a good idea to go with a full exhaust system, now I know that I would have to get it jetted if I go this route .But is there any more disadvantages?

I've been looking at this d&d show and go full system.

I just cant make up my mine if I want to go with that or just a slip on.
Now I would like to gain some power as well

get a slip on, remove the weld seems, http://www.motorcycleanchor.com/katana/header.html, and get an Ivan's jet kit. That will be a hell of a lot better then a full system. I assume by saying you've read that it isn't a good idea to get a full system, thats me telling people not to do that like a million times. I'm telling you a Ivan's jet kit and slip on is the most power you will get.

now why would it be better? or do you mean I will get the same outcome with a lower cost.

is there a disadvantage to a full system?

Ivan's kit is meant to be used with a stock header and any slip on, if you get a full exhaust you need to compensate with bigger main jets. Ivan dyno tuned the crap out of a Katana, if a full exhaust was better don't you think he would have said that
