  • cheap ebay Wheel Bearings ?

I cleaned my front wheel bearings and when I got ready to grease them with my needle injector I noticed the inner side does not have a dust shield. In other words, the side you can't see doesn't seem to be shielded. I can tell because when I stick the needle in, it goes straight through. After looking for replacement bearings, I noticed that the OEM Suzuki bearings seem to be shielded on one side only. That just doesn't seem right if you ask me. Can some one explain to me why they're made that way ? So, now I'm thinking I'll just get some new bearings that are double shielded. This is where the ebay bearings come in. The cheapest ones I found are only $3. That being said, just wondering if any body has experience with these.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. But, then again I noticed how many have sold and the 99.9% positive feed back from happy customers. I figured they are so cheap I'll buy a set to inspect/take the shield off and have a look see.
I messaged Jim yesterday for a price and haven't got a response as yet. I'm super anxious to ride and I need 2 different sets for both my 600 and 1100 (17" swap )... Therefore, I went ahead and ordered them this mourning for a grand total of $15. I guess we'll find out.

            Update:
Got my bearings today. I took the dust shields off to examine the internals. I'm happy with the design ! The groves are the same depth as the factory Suzuki NTN bearings. The 6302-2RS "US Bearing" has the same yellowish grease as Suzukis and the "RB Tech" bearing has blue grease. Both ebay bearings are double shielded and re-enforced with a piece of sheet metal. I popped the covers off with a box cutter/razor (thick type) for the photo...sorry for the low quality pic, but its a iphone and the sun was really bright.

Like I said, I paid $15 shipped for all 4 bearings. If they last me at least 2 or 3 years I will be a returning customer. I'll be sure to give them the wiggle test at stop lights, look for wobble on the highways and pay attention to irregular tire wear. If I have any problems I'll try to let you all know.

Here is the spin test video.
The new tire nubs/hairs are rubbing the inside of the fender which caused a slight drag. Its a 120 tire on a pre-98 600, so its a tight fit in the fender.
Also, I had to balance the wheel my self because the dumb @ss mot#3r phuckers at the bike shop didn't do their job.
                      Anyway, enjoy !
