06 tail farings on an 01

hey guys i was wondering if any of you have swapped the 06 style rear farings to a 98-03? I hate the way the tail light looks on mine. It looks like it would be pretty much the same. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

lots of us have done it. Its fairly simple to do. you will need to get the tail light to match, the bracket for the tail light, and a longer seat latch cable. The one from the 98-03 bikes are too short

yeah thats it. I have an 01 bike, and i put on the 04-06 tail with a Krazy Kreations undertail on it. The tail was white when I got it, and then I painted it black
