I have pretty much all the equipment, spent alot actually on the stuff but its only as good as the person who knows how to use it. And I don't. So when use spray the bc/cc, you do the color 2 light coats, then flash and do how many clear? I have found too that the wet sanding polishing is the tru hard work and thats why I want to get that rust fixed for good before I do it all over again. Thanks guys for the input!

typically I will wetsand with 2000 grit sandpaper and buff using Farecla G4. Everyone has there own preferences and do things a little differently. Some people use a lower grit sandpaper than I do, but I am happy with the results I get.
Mojoe did a great write-up:

Sand blast it... on both sides if you can
chances are there is a tiny pin hole from the back side that is causing the blisters in the paint
Use POR15
prep it first with metal ready then paint it with POR15 then cover it with a top coat.
end of rustLast edited by hardlydangerous; 07-21-2008, 08:38 PM.98 GSX750F
