    I have an 06 R6. No complaints. You will go through tires quicker than a Kat.

      Still carburated, pretty heavy, power band not nearly as peaky as the FI models.

      Everything costs more, take maintenance costs of your katana and double them.
      90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

              Picked up a 2000 R6 and rode it all last season. Gotta say I really like it. Having a hard time letting it go. It is comfortable. Not too much power but enough to get you into trouble. I prefer this over a '04 Aprilia RSV1000R that I had the pleasure of riding a few times last year also.
