  • Re:intake manifold

Hi guys, are the 80's to 1992 750 and 1100 intakes manifolds interchangeable?
I am trying to get some 750 38 mm intakes for a 88 Katana 1100 for a mod and need to know.
    Thanks for your time.

According to Factory Pro, 38mm carbs will squeeze in to "Warm" 36mm intakes.

First, they wont fit no matter what you do. The spacing on water cooled carbs is even, because the cam gear is now shifted to one side. You'll have to respace those wider in the center for Kat, due to the cam gear being in the center. Second, huge carbs on a Kat wont do any good without the proper upgrades compatible with the flow.

As stated they will squeeze into 36mm boots. Or get custom racing intake boots. The only difference in the screw holes.

Your confusing me there. It seems you are saying that simply swapping boots will resolve the air cooled to water cooled fitment issue.

On the other hand, isn't the 1100G air cooled ? Maybe some thing could be done there.
