  • Adding a Kat to the stable

    Hello All,

Like the title says I want to buy a Kat.

    I've been riding for over 3 decades on a variety of bikes (CB750F, KZ650, 900Ninja, FZ6 etc)

Currently have an old Wing for 2 upping with the Squeeze and a DRZ400 for fun but I realize I need a small street bike again.

I want to do it out in a survival rat style (think street fighter meets Mad Max in desert tan paint).

    Two questions
Is it any easier to mount dirt bike bars or flat bars on a pre or post 97 model?

Any special items to watch out for when buying one? ( From previous suzi experience I will take my multi meter and confirm a good charging system)

    Thanks All

Yes. Adding a bar to the top is just adding mounts, a bar, and probably longer cables.

The most common problems are dirty carbs, easy fix. Everything else is pretty normal. No major problems.
