Agreed Palomar mountain is a dream to ride. I head out dark thirty on Friday from Phx. and arrive at buddies house like 8 a.m. Have breakfeast and coffee then head to Palomar for the day, its 38 miles from his front door. We ride it on Sat and Sun at times but prefer to visit it on Friday when there is less traffic. Every time I have been there on a Sat or Sun I have seen a bike down due to inexperienced riders. One day it is going to be shut down. The nice thing is that there are canyons all over in Southern Cailfornia to ride, its just that Palomar is the best.
