    40-44 mpg.. depending on a bunch of factors. Running 87 oct in high altitude, I notice a bit of difference running 85 oct (87 oct sea lvl equivillant) and 87.

      I get about 40mpg with my R6, and thats driving like i stole it.

        I average 40mpg, cruising at an indicated 80 to 90 mph. I get on the gas heavy all teh time too. On my recent 700 mile round trip, I averaged about 45 mpg. That's a Kat600, 2006.

        I wouldn't expect the 650 to out mpg your ninja, it's heavier!

              My 96 gets 37. That's the average I got on a 1,000 mile trip. Bike has been jetted, and yes, I was going a little over 70 almost all the time.
              What used to scare me is now only mildly interesting

                  I disagree. Overall efficiency should be quite similar for bikes with similar weight, displacement, and power output. FI has many benefits, and they can be slightly more efficient, but we are comparing red delicious to granny smith here, not apples to oranges.

                    i take 37 mile per galon if that mpg is that u are talking about.
                    my bike is 2006 600 katana and the whole riding is innercity.
                    i have added a fuel treatment just today.is 37 mpg ok with mine or should i make it checked to a carb guy?

                      I don't get great gas mileage on my bikes, I think riding style has A LOT to do with it

                        Now I am getting 40+ mpg that is getting it on most of the time! I do get higher milage shifting at 6,000 and staying tucked in the best i can!

                                on my old 750 2 stoke im lucky to get 16 to 22 but im in the redline and on the pipe always so i dont care ...but the 2002 kat im sure its 40 plus ...and the old gpz 600 is 28 to 33 mpg
