Factoring in that we did 2 bikes (about at the same time), and that we had never done this before, and that I was pausing to take photos.... I wanna say an hour or so total.

        Nice write p..
Good job with the photos too..

I had a terrible time with my throttle grip.
It went on with out too much trouble.
I didn't want to cut the flange at the front of the
throttle though and never got it to match right..
however now the grip is splitting (after 2 weeks)
because of the thicker Kat throttle..
        (the "ribs")
Anyone know a grip that really fits the Kat??

Gee those grips look familiar. I have the same ones, and they work great.

Nice write up, worthy of a sticky !

It does take alittle more effort to save the grip off the throttle side, but if u work the screwdriver around gently as described and take ur time, it can be done..I was able to save mine. But it is a bit of a royal pain.

OK well since this is a sticky..
How about everyone listing what grips fit well??

Umm.. if you shoot compressed air into one end of the things while sliding them off or on you need no lube and no effort. I had mine swapped in less than 10 minutes and they're identical to yours. Sorry this advice is a little late.

Hm, good idea crazkene13 - now that you mention it, I think I remember reading that in another thread a while back... but, this is a way you can do it if you don't have an air compressor

Anyway, for the record, they are ProGrip #719. On their website: Grips->Super BK->Dual

anyone try the pro grip 725 EVO? It looks like it has the same dimension so I'm assuming it will fit correctly.
