    Same **** happened to me. For my bike I had same symptoms and it was a clogged fuel filter. Check the filter first.

      Had to replace my petcock recently too. Seems to be an all around Kat issue.

        Good Luck with that!! Never fun trouble shooting on a new/used bike. I am doing the same on my 1990 Kat 1100.

          I wondered about the fuel filter. Here in OH, we get the crap gas (little/no regulation) so replacing fuel filter in all vehicles is a must ...
