    i have read that the shock off a busa will fit but battery box and inner cowl need modding has anyone done this and are there any pictures on how to do this havent got the shock yet but i hear good things and i would like to have the extra adjustments on the kat is there any how tos on this anyone please help

    go here and read this and pm thazkat if you need any help. i guess you need to turn the battery box around. i just bought a busa rear shock myself for my pre 600.

      what year shock?

        There are pics around I think..
        The busa seems to fit where the GSXR doesn't. I think it has to do with the distance from the lower link to the spring. The larger diameter spring fouls the swing arm. In pictures the two shocks look the same but I wasn't able to get the GSXR shock to work were several members have the busa. The battery box needs to be moved about 1 1/2 inches to the rear. This is to make room for the piggy back reservoir. I'm not sure there are any year shocks that fit better then others.

          how do i go about moving the battery box back? do i need a new bracket or drill more holes in the frame as i dont wanna do that really?

            I removed the rubber spacers then used that extra gap for two extender brackets.
            Basically flat stock that mounts to the old battery holes and has holes for the battery in the new location.

                Really ? New GSXR or a diffent/older one ? I put an 1100 in mine , and though I had to grind the center link a tad , it fit just fine . Needed more than just a rebuild though , so it's garbage .
