Ok, been shopping around for a larger bike with these three specifically in mind.
I know many of you have owned or put good miles on each.

I want something that will accept (or come with) hard bags that won't interfere with a passenger.
As well as just be fun to ride fast by myself. Something I can ride from coast to coast if I found the time.

So tell me, from your experience, which would I likely enjoy most.

If you're thinking coast to coast comfort then it'd be the Connie, hands down.

DClark seems to have nothing but good things to say about his. One thing that appeals to me about the Connie is that they went from '86 to '02 (I think it was) without any major changes to the bike. following a couple re-designs, Kawi seems like they may try to do something like that again. That makes for a wide open market on aftermarket parts and none of this BS you get with some bikes where you have to know what month your bike was built to figure out what part you need.

I can't disagree.....but the ZX14 seems like a nice ride as well. I'm glad it's not me that has to choose.

Edit: I wish it were me. Just not going to happen this summer, though.

My main dislike of the C14 is the shaft drive.
That and it has the lowest power/top speed.

Apparently they've worked the "shaft effect" out of them now. After that you get better reliability, no adjustments needed and less maintenance. Where's the bad in that?

I still felt quite a bit of the "shaft effect" when I test road the 2011 earlier.
And they apparently lowered the power output to minimize the effect.

I'm just thinking I can get the lower priced '11 zx14, add the c14 risers and install a luggage set. Have a full power sport touring bike at a lower cost.

Why not consider the 1250F......... seems to be great "bang for the buck" if you're into doing some sport-tourning. The 1200 wasn't too shabby either, if you could find a lightly-used one for a good price.

I have zero experience with these bikes...

                  BUT

clearly the concours wins for comfort. It's also more money and 100lbs heavier. I'd save the bucks (and weight) and get either of the other two. Where I am, the insurance would be a drag on the ZX or the busa - far cheaper for the connie. I don't know how anyone chooses between the ZX14 and the hyabusa... they're both incredible.

No one is disputing that the c14 is the most comfortable of the three. However all three are more comfortable than my current gsxr.

I have price checked insurance on all three and they are quite similar for full coverage.

Do you wanna do the SPORTtouring or the sportTOURING? That's the question.

You'll get the bags in the price of the Connie. Ask thetable about how sporty you can get on one of those.

                            What Steve said.

You go 'Busa and you get the grouped with the idiots that buy one and act stupid w/about them. May not be an image you want.
Get over yourself. For me to think you are an idiot, I would first need to think of you.

I was more comfortable on the ZX than the busa. Never been on a Connie. If it were me, I would go for the ZX.
