  • Restoring a seat?

So the seat I got with the bike is in really nice condition... no rips or anything.. but it is faded. Anybody have any ideas on how to restore it to black?

If it's vinyl, get some vinyl aerosol "dye".... works just like paint.

If it's leather, then leather dye is what is needed, with a sealer over that.

The auto paint store here sells vinyl dye paints. I bet most do actually.

I actually just reupholstered my rear seat (94) today. It was red to match the bike but was really faded. Went to walmart and got some black vinyl from the fabric section, and a can of spray adhesive. Went to town with a staple gun (underneath) and it turned out great. Under $10.
