  • Ground cable

    Can someone tell me the stock mount location for the battery ground,82 1100 kat, don't say battery now, the other end.

    On my 2005 Kat it was on a bolt into the frame under the seat.

      ERRRRR Wrong.

      Should be bottom right side of engine, right next/above the oil pan.

          I'm pretty sure it's in a similar location, on the "top" of the motor, near the oil pressure sensor as I recall. The GS1100 is very similar.

              The ground should be attached to BOTH the engine AND frame.

                How that would require 2 cables?
                it was attached to the oil pressure sending unit, which doesn't seem right to me, maybe it is I don't know.

                    Johnod, the cable bolts to the UPPER case, 2nd bolt in front of the upper rear motor mount. Call me at 714-356-7845 if you need more clarrification. Ray.

                        Ray took a look at the bike, you mean long bolt bolts case halves together, just about under clutch cable/adjuster?
