01 750 Kat starting problems

A few days ago the bike didnt want to start started turn turn the key on and off a few times, then it started, but think i could smell something burn a bit, got home looked around couldnt see anything, but now the bike wont start, fuses ok, wires look ok, but i cant get this thing to turn, i can hot wire bypassing the switch and it turns, where do you guys think i should start, i miss my bike

you think, ive notice that my clock resets when i turn the ignition key, like there is a short, you think that the switch it self could short out!?

Yes, its not unheard of buoy can get them off of eBay with a key for cheap
