Busa wheel swap

I found a katana swingarm that is strecthed 6 inches and is wide enough to put a busa wheel on and i was wanting to swap the front wheel also..... I think i know what i need to swap the rear wheel but not real sure about the front wheel... Can anyone help me out with this

Might be a slight diference in spacers.

Check the ID of the bearings, might be differences. If there are, look for bearings that have the busa OD, and the Kat ID, and use them.

Are you looking for wheels with different spokes specifically?.. cause there are 6" busa rims that match the front wheel you have now.

Yeah i kinda want a different look but i wanna keep them black and will i need to get the busa front axle to make a busa front will work?

The hole for the axle in the forks is going to be your biggest limitation. I would stick with the Kat axle.

If the Kat axle is smaller, you could also sleave the axle to fit the difference between them.

To be honest, I love the Busa front end swap. Anybody know the other needed parts besides forks? Do I need to change out the bearings and trees? I was going to do the GSXR swap, but it would take me alot of $ to do and the weight difference I was told would cause it to be a bit "squshy". Is the Busa going to be cheeper?

PM Thazkat, that's his bike in the pic. He had to do something with the triple tree bearings to fit it I believe.

you need the entire front end(forks,brakes,front fender,trees, wheel), and get a custom neck bearing for it to fit, then remove the bump stops. if you do it on a post98 kat that would be cheapest because when its done on a pre98 you need to change the front sprocket cover, gauges and then match your rear wheel to the straight spoke design among other things.

For the Pre's you can use 1993-1995 GSX-R 750, maybe the GSX-R 1100, front end. It uses the cable driven speedo-meter and has the trick USD forks.

The top and bottom steering head bearings are the same, it has the same steering stops and, for me, uses the same ignition.

I have a 2001. Every Pic i see is older. Suzuki and other sites arent very helpful. You guys seem to be knowledgeable. And im not the best at researching. LOL If someone has done it, and reads this, let me know what was needed.
