This only sounds like a noobe question... because it is... but appx. how much better is a bit better? is this a mod that's worth the effort and $$$$? do you realize much gain?

another question I hope isn't answered elsewhere - is it possible to bore out or remove the down sizing sleeves in a 91' 600 katana? i've read they are the same block as the 750's but then you'd be tasked with pistons and such I guess it's probably wiser (but not cheaper) to find a 750 donor if you can...? thank you!

It's very noticeable. No, it's not possible. Despite what you've heard, the 600 is not just a sleeved down 750 bore. The 600 OD is smaller than the 750 ID.

Different stroke as well aint it chris? Pre 750s were short stroke and the 600s were long stroke I believe.

Yeah, but the 98+ 600 and 750 are the same stroke. Also, the 90-92 GSXR 750 are the long stroke.

The pre 98 750 is based on the 88-89 GSXR 750, which is also a short stroke.
