  • Chrome Project Dyno Results

i just got back from the dyno, i did 5 runs. it put down 73.38RWHP. the guy said i needed to go back to stock air filter and throw away the K&N:stfuchris. and i needed to change my pilot and my needles.he also said he if i changed hows it jetted it could put down 10 more hp but the a/f ratio is way too rich. looking for your guys help on reading the results and pointing me in the direction to get this up to 85hp.
if anyone knows how to post a DRF file i can send you the 5 runs to post on this thread.

I assume you have a Dynojet kit in there. Drop the needle a half groove.

The richness seems to be right at the low/mid in that graph.

If I can make a suggestion, Post what the current settings on those carbs are.

Main, Needle groove, pilot jet, A/F screw. Float height.

I'm going to agree...... drop the needle one spot, and put an oem filter in it. I think the main jet is fine. I would imagine the stock filter would get rid of that lean bump in the midrange, and then lowering the needle would lean it as a whole.

I'm really impressed, though. About 75hp out of a kat600 motor with only bolt-on stuff........ it's better than I thought it would be.

the needle is at 3, the jet is a 116 dj, k&n filter, a/f is at 2.5 right now. we can fine tune it now that I see the dyno run. I told you I couldn't wait to see the runs!!

it does have gixer cams but yes, good number but we can squeeze a little more out of it

ok, now will everyone finally STFU? When I talk **** about DynoJunk and K&N, there is a reason. It's not just because "I" don't like them. I'm right dammit, the sooner people realize that, the better off you'll be.

But in all fairness to the DJ kit this is not a stock bike that the kit was installed on. There is a reason that DJ and Factory give you multiple jets.

Now just for the hell of it I would like to see a run with a stock bike and the same setup that mreedohio has in his bike.

I don't really have a problem with the DJ kits...... and I think most don't really have an issue with them. They just aren't the BEST one.

I think the problem is really with the K&N..... They just have a funny way of making flat spots. I'm sure it's possible to tune this out, but it's not been really worth it to anybody so far...........
