Just recently, I bought an 88 600 basket case, an 89 750 rolling chassis, another 88 600 rolling chassis and a 1200 Bandit. Sorry, no pictures but the topic states: "We need some more Pre-98's on here..." Over the winter, I'm going to build an 88 6/12. That fits the topic criteria.

Nice bikes. I definitely prefer the pre-98s. They definitely have a better feel to them, too. (Yes, I can say that... I owned both)this horse racing bets

ive owned both and in all honesty i prefer the new gen over the old gen. i know ill prolly get hung for this comment but in all honesty the old gen was just too big. im 5'6" and was on tippy toes in combat boots. i really didnt like how wide the seat was as well.

As per the title, here is one more pre picture. I actually found this at a local cycle salvage yard. I removed the solo seat cover from it.

^^^^That's a really sharp looking old Kat. I really do prefer the pre-'98's! Mine should be back together in a couple weeks. Just getting bodywork painted now. I'll put up some before and after pictures compared to when I got it last fall. Hopefully it turns out nice.

I'm about to order that same wrap for my bike! Did you apply it yourself and if so how difficult was it?
