we all know that the world doesn't give a crap about AMA racing... What the World cares about is World superbike... And on that stage, Yamaha is doing just fine...

Neither do the factories either... I'd guess that the $ spent on AMA is probably half of that spent on WSBK...

Another thing to consider is the AMA riders on the new '09 R1's may not be fully used to the different power characteristics of the new engine quite yet.

Sorry to say this but trying to compare the race bike and the street bike is like apples and oranges. They are pretty much the same bike in name only
