  • GSXR 750 Head VS Kat 750 Head

What differences are there in the two besides the cams being different. The 89-92 gsxr 750 head is the one im talking about.

Are the carb boots the same size? Are the valves different? Are the exhaust outlet diamiter the same. Any other infor would be greatly apreciated

Ive already got the GSXR cams to be installed and was wondering if it would help even more to use the gsxr head also (b/c i might have one of them soon also )
    thanks

First off the 89-92 GSXR heads are not all the same. The 88/89 GSXR head is a sling shot head(44.7mm) meaning it is short and fat. The 90-92 GSXR head is a long stroke (48.7mm) head which is tall and narrow like the late model Kats. Next the 88/89 GSXR has forked rockers. The 90-92 GSXR has shim rockers. Do a search I'm not explaining it AGAIN.

The 88-97 Kat 750 is the sling shot type head. If I remember right it has the same size valves as the 86-90 GSXR 1100 and a larger combustion chamber than the 88/89 GSXR 750.
