  • Valve Clearance for Pre98 Kat with GSXR Camshafts/Rockers

Anyone know what the clearance should be on the valves if I have GSXR camshafts and rockers?

I would think as long as the valves are from the pre 98 750, you would use those clearances. Since you measure between the adjustment screw and valve stem end, the GSX-R cams shouldn't effect or change your clearance. The pre 98 750 valve clearance is 0.10 - 0.15 mm for intake and, 0.18 - 0.23 mm for exhaust.

Just for reference, the GSX-R 750 clearances are as follows:
    Screw type adjusters
    85 -88 -- 0.09 - 0.13mm
    89-90 -- Intake - 0.10 -0.15mm
    Exhaust -- 0.18 -0.23

    Shim type adjusters
    Intake -- 0.10 -0.20 mm
    Exhaust -- 0.15 - 0.25
