Thought I'd start a new thread for this, after a longish period spent in the garage in one guise or another I thought I would rebuild this bike which can be found here

A short video of the first start since being in a thousand pieces

Video a bit ropey as I done it on my phone but once downloaded to Youtube its worse

A few small oil leaks from washers I should have changed and all will be well

        Congratulations.

Sounds like it's running really well.

before I attempted the initial start I removed the plugs and turned it over for about 30 seconds on the starter to prime the oil system, when it fired up there was no smoke or rattles. Just need to balance the carbs, find the problem that wasnt there before with the sidestand switch and change those pesky washers/seals on the rocker shaft plugs and the sump oil gallery plugs then get it tested and run it in for a few hundred miles.
