  • Do I need to sync?

My friend and I did a valve adjustment and carb sync 2 weeks ago and it didn't solve our problem of very bad gas mileage for my '05 Kat. Then we got the carbs off the bike and realized that a needle jet was missing and two of the main jets were switched. 2 weeks later and the needle jet has been installed and the main jets were put in their correct place. Would either of these repairs require another carb sync?

    Main jets were:
    --1---2----3----4
    115 112.5 115 112.5

    Set correctly to:
    --1---2----3----4
    115 112.5 112.5 115

I wish I could get my hands on the guy that had this bike before me.

Yes, sync the carbs again. Don't you think that makes sense?
As for the PO you're gonna hate 'em all, but for such a young bike, could have been a tech at the dealership that mixed em up.

        +1 on the sync.

All POs are idiots. That's just a rule of life!
