  • On the road again.

Good morning from Galt California. I recently purchased a 2004 Katana in need of plastic surgery and found this site while looking for info on Katana's. I spent most of the day yesterday reading up on some of the posts. There is a ton of great info here!

I have been riding since I was a kid but spent most of my life in the dirt and haven't ridden on the street in quite a few years. I am really looking forward to being on the road again. Rick

                              Thanks for the warm welcome.

Thought I would add an update....I bought my Kat as a project. The fairings were toast and it had a few other issues. I have fixed the bike back to rideable and have finally been able to take it out for a few rides. My original intent was to make the repairs as a winter project and sell it in the spring to help with finances for my sprint car race season. The sprint car will be sporting last years paint...the Kat will not be departing. I love it! I have owned many different motorcycles but I think the Kat is the most enjoyable ride. I am 6'1 and 230#'s and am very comfortable on it.
