  • Picked up a 2006 Katana 750 last weekend...

Hi folks! I just picked up my first street bike last weekend. I was originally looking for an SV650 and a motorcycle shop owner let me test ride both an 06 SV650 and an 05 Katana 600. Overall, I found the Katana much easier to ride but it just didn't have the torque of the SV. As fate would have it, there was an 06 Katana 750 for sale in my back yard. I took it for a 15 minute test ride and bought it on the spot. I've already ordered an integrated taillight from D2moto and may do some other lighting mods as time goes on. My goal for this bike is to log a good number of miles and then start taking my lady out for rides.

I just put the integrated tail light from d2moto.com on my bike and it looks great. Not very bright so it's going to need some extra lights for the turn signals. Have fun!

Welcome to KR!!! When I return from Iraq(DEC) I'm going to put in LED's for front turn signals, also an integrated rear, and an HID front light conversion Kit. Stay tuned for the results.
I finally got home and get to ride my KAT!!!
