  • Rear Brake Lever Problem

    I'm having problems with the rear brake lever. It is too high up and is very uncomfortable to use when braking. I would like to adjust it so it is at level with the foot peg. Is there anyway to do that?

    There are two adjustments;
    one, remove the lever and change what spline it's on.
    two (harder) adjust the clevis on the master cylinder.
    Parts labeled 2,3,4,5 and 6 here:

      Bot be careful not to set it TOO low . It can drag , which can be scary , or kill you .

            No really . I set mine where I liked it , and following someone into a corner at "fun" speeds , it drug HARD . I figured I was lucky it didn't activate the brake or something . THAT would be BAD . Just be careful how low you set it is all I'm sayin .

              Adjusted The Lever

              I adjusted the pedal by moving it to a different spline. thanks for the help. Looks much better now.

                Wow, good call. Engaging the rear leaned that far over could get fun in a hurry!

                  How can it ingage tho? wouldnt it try to push up? I guess there is a way it could be pulled down. im just not seeing it. That would be scary tho.

                    Usually it'll just scrape . But if it hits right while leaned over ...... oh yeah , I could see it getting pushed down a little . I've actually read about the same happening before on another bike in a popular bike magazine during a track test .
