I know I sound like a total noob asking this, but what the hey …. I just bought a Full D&D exhaust system. They recommend “rejetting” my carbs …. Do I have to purchase a “jet kit” to do so? …. Or can I just have the local bike mechanic install the new exhaust, and do any “readjustments” that are required?

I guess my question is; to install my new (full) exhaust system, do I need to purchase a jet kit in order to “rejet” my carbs?

"Poor man's jet kit" consists of new main jets (like $20/4) , some little washers to shim the needles , and resetting the pilot screws . From what I hear it'll work , though not always as well as an actual jet kit . The biggest cost of the kit is the needles , which are reshaped .
